Acetal shapes are produced from both copolymer and homopolymer resins which provide a high modulus of elasticity coupled with great strength, stiffness and toughness.  They are also characterized by a low coefficient of friction and good bearing characteristics.  Due to acetal’s minimum amount of moisture absorption, its physical properties remain constant in a variety of environments.

Fluorosint®

A synthetic mica fill level of TFE determines the very low coefficient of thermal expansion, virtually eliminating fit and clearance problems.  Although actual wear life is determined by the specific application, the wear rate of Fluorosint is lower than TFE and other specifically filled fluorocarbons.  In addition, its low coefficient of friction, good electrical properties, outstanding chemical resistance and form stability makes this material excellent in electrical applications, bearings, bushings, wear plates, thrust buttons, and the like.
